2011 Audi R8 GT : Review
Creating every Audi model with so much Enthusiasm and a spirit to reach perfection are the two things that keep Audi Far ahead of all its rivals. Audi is professional at putting heart and soul in just an Aluminum structure. All Audi Model comes with something special with them whether it is power, durability, fuel consumption, comfort, luxury, aggressiveness, sportiness or heart throbbing looks. Audi Challenged the world when it launched the R8 and showed the whole world about its capabilities and innovation. Till the time Audi R8 has won more than 50 Awards in different categories. Audi R8 is such a car which is admired by all sections of the society in every nation. Audi R8 is such a car which has no alternate, entirely unique. After the roaring success of Audi R8, Audi launched Audi R8 GT (limited production version of Audi R8 as only 333 Audi R8 GT will be built ever). Now more powerful, faster and lighter Audi R8 is here, the all new Audi R8 GT. Within a short period of time after the launch of Audi R8 GT, All Audi R8 GTs were booked.
Talking about the exteriors,
Audi R8 GT (V10) is very much similar to the Audi R8 V10 in terms of dimensions and outer looks. A new spoiler at rear and fins on front bumper can be seen as an upgrade. Audi R8 GT has more appealing and distinctive alloys. Just like Audi R8 V10 the all new Audi R8 GT is also built on ASF (Audi Space Frame). It is about 100 kilograms lighter than Audi R8 V10 including the same 5.2 L FSI engine with more power output. To Reduce 100 kilograms, Audi followed several techniques such as the windshield of Audi R8 GT is much thinner and lighter than Audi R8 V10. Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) has been used at rear portion to reduce about 6 kilograms. Several changes have been made in engine and braking equipments to meet the need of having the car as lighter as possible.
Audi R8 GT is powered with a V10 supercharged engine with a capacity of 5204 cc. This V10 engine provides a peak power of 560 hp at 7750 rpm and Audi R8 GT shoots from 0-100 km/hr within 3.6 seconds and 0-200 km/hr in 10.8 seconds. A max. torque of 428 lb-ft is available at 5500 rpm. Audi R8 GT is equipped with a 6 speed Manual Transmission and Audi All wheel Drive technology (Quattro) which enhances its Handling and Grip during sports mode. Audi R8 GT comes with an average fuel consumption of 17 MPG. Audi R8 GT comes with five different driving modes which can further be manually calibrated. Redefined Quattro delivers differentiated power to all four wheels as per the needs.
Talking about the interiors,
Audi R8 GT is truly a sports car with luxury inside. Dashboard, made of pure leather, is perfectly carved out.Seat are much more comfortable and hold the driver still and firm to his position on curves during high speed. The instrument panel as well as dial is much more appealing and sporty. Audi R8 GT is equipped with 465 wt Bang and Olufsen Sound System which creates a perfect musical ambience in the car. Audi R8 GT is also equipped with the next generation MMI which help the driver to get in touch with car thoroughly and to use every possible function. Automatic Climate control and powerful AC are the standard features for Audi R8 GT.
